• Served as Program Director for over 20 years for award-winning, secular news-talk radio station KGMI in Bellingham, WA
• Co-hosted the #1 morning talk show in northwest Washington State for over 12 years…at KGMI
• Was the morning news anchor on KGMI for over 12 years

Accomplishments

• Led KGMI to receive the prestigious national Marconi Award from the National Association of Broadcasters for “Best Small Market Radio Station in America” in 2006
• Led KGMI to receive consecutive Edward R Murrow Awards in 2006, 2007 for Best Morning Newscast in 5 state northwest region
• Led KGMI to receive the 2006 Mayor’s Art Award in Bellingham for developing and executing a campaign to build an expansive memorial plaza to honor fallen soldiers in northwest Washington
• Graduated cum laude from Western Washington University in 1981 with degree in Broadcast Communications

Community Involvement

• Serves as a volunteer Chaplain at the Whatcom County Jail (2006-present) and works one-on-one with individual inmates every week
• Leads weekly bible studies in her home and has taught Sunday school for young children for over 12 years

Personal Life

• She and her husband Raul have 5 children and 4 grandchildren, with another on the way!
• Hobbies include cooking, baking, reading, gardening, entertaining and traveling.
